How to "Shop Like Local"

Palomar, a Kimpton Hotel at 117 South 17th Street at Sansom in Philadelphia, offers a great service for those visiting Philadelphia: Shop Like a Local.

Written by style expert Ian Michael Crumm, the online local fashion guide gives all Philly visitors a great cheat sheet of where to find the city's most fashionable establishments. The guide gives travelers a list of stores unique to Philadelphia, but with national recognition. The guide identifies nearby shops and boutiques that have a local touch that you can take home for out-of-towners

ellelauri was named in Crumm's latest guide: Shop Like a Local Vol. II which was unveiled earlier this month at an event hosted by the hotel and Alysia Reiner, who stars in Orange is the New Black, a huge hit series on Netflix.

Pictured below, Alysia is wearing a dress from the ellelauri boutique in Rittenhouse.

Hit singer Miesa, another ellelauri fan, performed at the party. Previously, she has been spotted during NYC Fashion Week wearing ellelauri.

It was an amazing event attended by the most fashionable Philadelphians raising money for a good cause. The auction and the bidding on the signed players jerseys was a very entertaining and fun part of the evening. Our favorite FOX 29’s Good Day Show personalities, Alex Holley and Mike Jerrick hosted the event.

Eagles players Jon Dorenbos, Brandon Graham, Malcolm Jenkins, Cody Parkey, Mark Sanchez, and Cedric Thornton  sported clothing by Robbini Bespoke, as well as bow-ties and pocket squares from Malcolm Jenkins’ line, Rock Avenue Bow-Ties. The shoes were also from local men’s shoe retailer ToBox.

Marcus Allen, BBBSSEPA CEO, introduced Eric Blumenfeld and William Procida the developers of the Divine Lorraine and the Metropolitan Opera House and announced that a percentage of the unit sales from the North Broad St. location will be going to the mentorship program at Ben Franklin High School in Philadelphia. All in all it was a great event that included fashion, friends and raising money for a fantastic cause!
